Parenthood is one of life’s most beautiful adventures. It’s filled with laughter, learning, tears, triumphs, and an ever-changing set of challenges. But one thing remains constant—the need for support. No parent should have to walk this journey alone. That’s why we created the My Parents and Me Support Club: a warm, inclusive community designed to uplift and empower families with children from birth to 18 years old, including those with disabilities and learning needs.
At The Parent Club, we embrace the beautiful chaos of parenthood and celebrate the rich, diverse tapestry of family life. Founded by Jade, a dedicated working mother inspired by her two wonderful daughters, Ashli-May and Jaida Faith, Parensta is more than a company—it’s a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a heartfelt mission: to enrich the parenting journey through support, resources, and connection.
The Heart Behind the Club
Jade’s vision for My Parents and Me was born from personal experience. As a mother raising two vibrant girls, she knew firsthand how challenging it can be to balance work, care, and family life—especially when faced with learning differences or disabilities. Her journey ignited a deep desire to create a village where all parents, regardless of background or circumstances, feel heard, supported, and empowered.
At the core of My Parents and Me is the belief that when parents grow, children thrive. Our club is a space where families support one another, share experiences, and grow together—because no parent should ever feel alone.
Why Community Support Matters in Parenting
Research shows that community support significantly improves mental health and resilience in parents. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), social and emotional support from others helps parents manage stress, prevent burnout, and make better decisions for their families (CDC, 2023).
When parents have access to peer groups, education, and emotional resources, they’re more likely to feel confident in their parenting, advocate for their children’s needs, and build healthier home environments. My Parents and Me provides that essential support through meet-ups, workshops, online forums, and inclusive events tailored for families with diverse needs.
Supporting Families Raising Children with Disabilities and Learning Needs
Raising a child with disabilities or learning challenges comes with unique joys and responsibilities. From early diagnosis to navigating school systems, parents often find themselves in unfamiliar territory. At My Parents and Me, we walk with you every step of the way.
We offer resources and support for parents of children with:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Down Syndrome
ADHD and other neurodivergent traits
Sensory Processing Disorders
Speech and language delays
Dyslexia and other learning difficulties
Physical or mobility challenges
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 6 people globally lives with a disability, many of whom are children with developmental delays. Early support is key. The UNICEF Inclusive Education Report highlights the need for inclusive learning environments and parental empowerment in creating long-term positive outcomes for children with additional needs (UNICEF, 2021).
At My Parents and Me, we offer:
Help understanding and applying for EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
Guidance on navigating SEN (Special Educational Needs) support
Behavior support strategies and positive parenting tools
Emotional wellness activities for parents and children
Resources for inclusive education and advocacy
Parenting Together – Building Relationships and Resilience
No two families are the same, and at The Parent Club, we honour that diversity. Whether you’re a single parent, co-parenting, fostering, or raising children with medical needs, My Parents and Me is here for you.
Through a range of services and programs, we create spaces for parents to connect, learn, and grow together. Our events include:
Parent-to-Parent Support Circles – Share experiences, get advice, and build community.
Workshops and Webinars – Topics include mental health, stress management, inclusive parenting, behavior support, and more.
Inclusive Playgroups and Family Events – Designed with accessibility and sensory-friendly practices in mind.
Sibling Support Groups – Helping brothers and sisters of children with disabilities feel supported and understood.
The Importance of Early Intervention
Early intervention is crucial for children with developmental delays. According to the CDC, services provided from birth to age five significantly enhance a child’s social, emotional, and academic outcomes (CDC Early Intervention).
My Parents and Me provides parents with knowledge and tools to identify early signs of developmental concerns, seek assessments, and access local services. We partner with healthcare providers, therapists, and educational specialists to ensure families receive timely and effective support.
We also guide parents through the transition phases:
From home to nursery
Primary to secondary school
Teenage years to early adulthood
Each stage presents new challenges, but My Parents and Me is here to help you navigate them with confidence.
Uplifting Stories and Shared Wisdom
One of the most powerful aspects of My Parents and Me is the space it creates for storytelling. Real parents share their journeys—raw, honest, and hopeful. From the first day of diagnosis to celebrating a child’s first words, every story reminds others that they’re not alone.
These shared experiences are the heart of our community. They provide wisdom, comfort, and a sense of belonging. As Jade often says, “There’s no ‘perfect parent,’ just real parents doing their best every day.”
Embracing the Diversity of Family Life
At The Parent Club, we understand that families come in all shapes, sizes, and stories. Whether you’re navigating cultural traditions, blended families, or unique life paths, your experiences are valid and valued.
We welcome:
Multilingual families
LGBTQ+ parents and guardians

Inclusivity isn’t just a value—it’s our practice. Every workshop, event, and communication is created with accessibility, cultural sensitivity, and equity in mind.
